About us

Our expert team ensures excellent, ethical services, with quick and detailed results.

Our Mission

At Medusa, we strive to make the worst parts of your life better. We know that nobody wants to need a private investigator, so when you trust us to be sensitive, professional, and discrete even under dire circumstances- that is exactly what we aim to do.

Redefining Professionalism

We at Medusa are lifelong PNW residents, highly involved in the legal, professional, political, and personal investigative fields. When Medusa was founded, we considered one major principle: how can we provide better service than everyone else? The answer was to avoid all of the blatant legal and ethical violations that too many local agencies are complicit in. While a good Private Investigator could be the saving grace in a difficult case- their willingness to break the law or nullify ethics (even when they do it working for someone else) could make you look just as bad.

We work hard to keep up changing regulations, social climates, and client needs. We will not waste time and your money on surveillance when it is not needed, we won’t lie on reports to get faster or more “ideal” results, and we will never use an invasive or policing approach to cases. Our method is made to hold up to the highest scrutiny- both whether it is yours or the attorney across the aisle from you. We remain discrete, and at the time of this writing, have a 0% detection rating (we have never been spotted or confronted on a case).

Who’s behind the curtain?

I’m Christopher Leritz, Founder and Lead Investigator at Medusa. Feel free to call me Topher. Before I started my adventures in Private Investigation, I built my background in Hospitality and later- Marketing. I fell in love with details, and found myself treating every little mystery like a grand scheme. When I started to work for myself- bringing smaller companies new business as a Freelance Marketer, details mattered more than ever. Often times my efforts to bring in new business were stifled by a need to first find flaws in current business administration. When big details narrowed into small ones- I was in my element. Raising the truth and making things better for it brought me more joy than anything.

I got my first real work in investigation when I started getting politically involved. I ran a very short campaign in the 2023 Seattle City Council race. Making big strides in little time, the real work was in finding every little detail on the competition. The more I studied other candidates, the more I realized that the resources I could bring to the table were better spent on other candidates across the cities districts. I would later play a proud, behind the scenes part in Cathy Moore, victor of D-5’s race. These political investigations continue to be of the highest interest to me, bringing opportunities to improve the lives of so many at every new curve.

In my free time, I enjoy working on cars, collecting old cowboy Americana, and digging deeper into the political world we live in today. I love getting outside, especially deep into the Cascades, where I cartograph (make maps) of old abandoned mining settlements. Recently, I have been attempting to get more physically motivated by running, (attempting) to play tennis, and exploring Carkeek Park in my home neighborhood of Greenwood. You can find me exploring new restaurants and bars, indexing the countless marine creature of Puget Sound, and generally being insufferably loving in the greater Seattle area.
